Using a variety of songs, incorporating rhythm movement and the use of props, children are encouraged in their personal, social and emotional development
Use of props such as finger puppets, rhythm sticks, bunny ears, play parachute and bubbles increases the fun and encourages participation with songs new and old. There are frequent movement opportunities which serve to develop both fine and gross motor skills and encouraging children to link movement with sound and words, all of which underpins literacy. By learning simple co-ordination of their bodies, speaking and memorising rhyme and keeping in rhythm to a steady beat, children can be actively engaged in developing their literacy skills.

FunkyMunky is one of our favourite outings in the week. A fun, action packed morning for the children & much needed coffee & cake for the mums!
All the family are made to feel welcome, and the older siblings in school holidays look forward to the sessions too
Our four year old daughter with special needs is treated with kindness & lots of care
We have even swapped our two year old’s session at playgroup so he can attend & doesn’t miss the fun. A class not to be missed.
I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old and love how this group caters for them both. We have also met so many lovely friends here.
It has a very relaxed feeling, so you never need to worry about your child sitting still and being quiet (mine doesn’t!)
…you must have one of Annie’s chocolate tiffins in the coffee break – yum!
My daughter absolutely loves her weekly dose of Funky Munky music with Dale!
Each session is packed with sing-along tunes, finger puppets, bubbles, colourful rainbows & wiggly worms, to mention just a few!
Dale interacts fantastically with all of the children & it’s great value for money too. A really fun & enjoyable session for babies & toddlers!
